Manufacturer stamp: B.B. CO - General Ammunition Discussion

Many say “B.B. CO.” is Bridgeport Brass Company, but I can’t find evidence of that. Can anyone help me verify that “B.B. CO.” is in fact Bridgeport Brass Company? I have found Bridgeport Brass Company markings “BBC” and “B” in a diamond, but not “B.B. CO.”. I wonder if it may actually be Bristol Brass Company, which did use “B.B. CO.”. Examples
