Of Maxwell's debut collection, Vogue Runway noted that there were plenty of options "for those looking for just a touch of diva, and that it was "sexy without question, but a little better suited for off-stage activities" While he's known for outfitting Gaga in famously daring looks, Maxwell has said that his collection isn't about shock—rather a celebration of women. "It's important that it's humble and taken seriously," Maxwell told WWD. "I want women to want to wear the clothes, and I want people to say it was well-made and well thought out."
