Late Victorian, early Edwardian corset 24

By A Mystery Man Writer

amp;nbsp; This type of corset is essential in creating the curvy silhouette, typical of the late Victorian era and early Edwardian era . It creates the small waist/rounded hip profile, flat tummy and emphasises the chest - ideal for a Gibson girl look with some dramatic hip shaping!  This type of corset was often paired up with a bust improver (padding|) to form the fashionable pidgeon chest look.  Any modern padding can be used  too  (the trick is to place it under the breasts..) Hip padding was also used a lot to create the illusion of a smaller waist.   Cut , featuring flat felled seams, suitable for 1898- 1906    Features: *hight quality corsetry broche in rare colour    *Mid bust, *stainless steel busk *interior chanels in cotton tape  * bones flossed with waxed silk threads  *boned with a mix of flat  and spring steel bones  *back lacing eyelets with washers *back lace dyed to match *waist tape *edges bound in cotton bias tape * decorated with wide cotton lace * suspenders covered with mtching silk   Measurements - the corset closes at: bust -38" (97cm) Waist - 24" (61cm) hip - 38" (97cm)  side length, waist to underarm - 6" (15cm) Would best suit a curvy size 10, with a natural waist of 27-30",  chest  40"-42" (or smaller with  padding),  hips 40-42"   (or smaller with padding)   All our Victorian corsets have the standard 2 inches waist reduction built in – the reduction will vary from person to person depending on the lady’s built and body type. Please measure carefully – your actual waist measurement should be at least 2-3 inches more than the waist measurement of the corset.  The corset doesn't need to close - a gap at the back is perfectly  normal, allowing a greater range of sizes to be worn.   If you are interested with a corset with more or less reduction, please contact us asking for a bespoke order – more information on ordering in the Bespoke section.  DISCLAIMER   Please note that wearing an incorrect size or incorrect use of a corset might result in  health issues.  Corsets can be beneficial in certain conditions - but detrimental in others, so if you have a back/ spine/rib condition please check with your doctor prior to purchasing one.  A well fitted corset should feel like a  hug and should not cause any discomfort.  If you need a corset to help with any issues, please consult and order bespoke with a profesional medical corsetiere who would be able to  design the amount of support  suitable to your needs.  It is recommended that only ladies over 18 years old wear and buy corsets. Prior Attire will not be liable for any medical issues caused by incorrect fit or incorrect/prolonged wearing etc of our corsets.
