For our Mizo series, we have retained the traditional motifs and colours used in the weaving of the traditional Mizo Puan, including the prominent horizontal border. Patterns like ginger flower, stars, roses, tiger’s skin etc. are developed using extra weft in primary colors of black, white and red, with hints of green, blue and yellow. Bright colors and bold stripes are the main features of the Mizo Puans. The colors and patterns are distinct to each traditional variety like Puanchei, Puandum, Ngotheker and Kwappuizikzial. Made from: Eri Silk by organic cotton Length: 5.5m (approx.), Width: 46 (approx.) Blouse Length: 1m (approx.) Making time: Approximately 120 labour hrs. (12-15 days) Note: The blouse seen on the model is only for representation. Saree is paired with an unstitched blouse piece.
