Using Blacken-IT - Painting, finishing and weathering products and

I would like to start a discussion on Blacken-IT or similar products. It has been about 3 yrs since I purchased some of this from a model railroad hobby shop. I have had mixed results. So here is what I know - 1. You must clean the surface thoruoghly. Preferably with acetone or a similar product.
